The word tistik means “A warm welcome to you!” in the Mayan language and that is just how you feel as you enter TistiK which showcases the artisanal work of Mexican designers, many from the silver capital of Taxco.
Owner Perla Brito Cuevas was born in Taxco where her family has owned one of the most well-known jewelry stores for over 50 years. She grew up surrounded by beautiful jewelry and knowing many jewelry makers and designers in her home town. Her name means “Pearl,” and she knew that one day she would create her own jewelry store.
After graduating from Babson College, Perla decided to bring the crafts of her hometown in Mexico to Boston. She chose to bring jewelry made by young, unknown designers who offer unique, high quality and fashion forward designs. Perla also is on the lookout for socially responsible projects that she can support and her clientele will love.
TistiK offers you a warm welcome to shop online or to visit our store in Harvard Square.
